Why did you get into fostering?
I got into fostering because I have always loved dogs. This gives me the opportunity to have more dogs in a way that's affordable. It makes me feel good saving a dogs life.

Which hart dogs have you fostered?
I have fostered Bonnie

What has been the most rewarding aspect to fostering?
Seeing the dog come out of its shell. When we first got Bonnie she would not leave her kennel and now she has a cute little personality.

When individuals think it will be too much work or too emotionally taxing, what feedback do you have for them?
It is a lot of work, but once you see the progress your dog starts to make it doesn't matter. Hart volunteers will help ease the work load by providing rides if you can't attend a event and also a behaviourist if your dog needs it.

If your foster dog(s) could speak, what do you think they would say to you?
I think she would thank me profusely and tell me how much better her life is
