One is not born into the world to do everything but to do
something. - Henry David Throeau

While sometimes cited for being an anarchist, we can draw
motivation from Henry David Thoreau regarding his philosophy on
civil disobedience for the purpose of improvement. Now, we
are not guiding our volunteers into any disobedient action.
Instead we are hoping that by recognizing the plight of stray and
abandoned dogs, regular people, like you and me, can work together
to improve the conditions of these canine victims.
One dog at a time we bring stray dogs into homes. One SNIP
(Spays and Neuters in Partnership) at a time we are reducing the
overpopulation problem in a humane fashion. One volunteer at
a time we are gaining momentum.
In 2012 hart rescued 130 dogs. From that 82 were
rehomed by hart and 60 were rehomed by partners.
Here is a look at our history:

In nine years, our small, shelterless, grass roots dog rescue
organization has been able to give 959 dogs a new leash on
life.
We are doing something to help and all of our efforts add up to
improvement in the lives of stray and abandoned dogs.
We have much more to do - care to join us?
